Memory Problem

Hi I just got a Corsair XMS3200 1024 X 2. I have an Asus K8N-E mobo. I am pretty sure that they are compatible but when I install the DIMMs and start up the computer I get a bios voice notification that System Failed Due to CP OVerclocking. This is very strange because I have not attempted to overclock this machine in the past. Besides I don't even know how to through the bios. Can anybody tell me why I have this error?

Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts as well. If you do find one failing then lets get it or them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!

However; if you get errors with both modules, that would suggest some other problem. And I would try testing the memory in another system to be sure.
