morphman
Hi, just wanted to know the best suggestion for best Performance - STABLE ram - i was thinking about either the 5400UL or the 8000UL. need 2 - 512mb not going to do overclock - but maybe in the future so keep the option open. again my cpu is Pentium D 830 - 3.0Ghz Dual Core. Thanks alot Shlomi
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 14, 2005 If you do not want to over clock or set any of the settings I would suggest VS1GBKit533D2. Other wise you will need to make some chnage in you bios for any XM2S module, but I would suggest XM2S5400UL if you dont want to over clock the CPU Freq. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 14, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 14, 2005 Please go to XMS Qualification and Testing, and look up the tested settings for the DDR2 module's. I think this may help you with what we are trying to say. And please note the CPU Freq. any setting over 200 Mhz will be over clocking.
