Dark Core RGB Pro - the battery LED indicator doesn't work as it should?

According to the manual, depending on the charge level of the battery, the LED indicator should be pulsing/blinking in different colors. In my case, it's only pulsing red when the battery is low. It doesn't seem to work in any other situation. Any idea what's the problem?
