Jessmysta
ok i have a dell 2400 and recently i put this ram in TWINX1024-3200C2PT when i bought it, it only had 256. now wen i put the ram in it just made a noise and it wouldnt turn on or anything. then i put the original back in and it worked fine. then i looked through the manual and found out that my comp could only handle up to pc2700 and the one i bought was pc3200. but i thought that if thats the case it would still see the ram but just use it at 2700. does anybosy have an idea of wat is the problem or wat type of ram i should buy? any help would be much appreciated. Wired
Normal PCs will underclock memory. Dells usually won't. Dells are picky as hell.
