TazmanianDevil
I have been running with the two memory modules (that I got directly from Corsair, so no retailer for me to deal with) I have without any problems for a number of months. Earlier this week, I got a handful of corrupted files on my hard drive. Yesterday, I got a Blue Screen with a PAGE_IN_NONPAGED_AREA error and my computer rebooted with serious problems. Memory: CMX512-3200XL; XMS3208v1.1 (2 DIMMs in a TwinX pair) Motherboard: ASUS P4S800D-E CPU: Intel 3.2Ghz I rebooted the computer and ran memtest. It immediately reported thousands of errors. I removed DIMM 2 and re-ran the test. Again, there were errors. I removed DIMM 1 and put DIMM 2 in the slot DIMM 1 was in. I re-ran the test and a full suite of tests completed with no errors. I went into my BIOS and changed the DDR reference voltage to 2.75 and then 2.55 (it was "Auto" originally) and I reran memtest. I got the same errors with both voltages. So, it's clear to me that my DIMM 1 has gone bad and I'll need to send both back as they are a TwinX pair. Please give me the okay to submit an RMA request.
