darcynoonan
Hi, I just got back from the computer store that I deal with. I had built my system with them. I experienced a problem a couple days ago. I would turn on the computer and my monitor would give me a "no video signal found" message. I brought my computer into the store and they did a complete diagnostic on it and told me that my RAM and Mobo where gone. Now they told me that only 1 stick of my RAM is bad and one is ok. My questions are... 1. Where do I go from here? I can't really test the RAM at home because the motherboard is dead now. Plus, the store has already told me that the RAM is broken. 2. I bought my RAM as a dual kit? Generally when buying RAM isn't it better to by them as a dual kit and not two seperate sticks? If so, what are my options if 1 stick is bad and 1 stick is good? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 10, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 10, 2005 If you have a Twinx set of modules you should send both modules so the new memory matches. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
