You have a 400 FSB CPU and the fastest module your system would support would be PC-2100. Sorry, but you can only use PC-3200 memory if you have an 800 FSB CPU.

This is a chipset limitation.

If the FSB of your CPU is 400 For Intel and 100 MHz for AMD, the memory speed supports only DDR 266.

If the FSB of your CPU is 533 For Intel and 133/166 MHz for AMD, the memory speed supports DDR 266/333

If the FSB of your CPU is 800 MHz for Intel and 200 MHz for AMD, the memory speed supports DDR 333/400

Max Memory : 2.0 GB

Expansion Slots : 2 sockets

Processor Intel Pentium 4 or Intel Celeron

Details : 533/800MHz FSB, Intel 865GV Chipset

In the details or specs on my machine...it says 800mhz fsb...You said i have a 400mhz fsb ...you have to cut that # in half for a true FSB?..dunno? :sigh!:

What is the speed of your CPU? It looked like you said 2.0 Ghz, at least thats what I had thought.

But it looks like you just gave me the system spec not what I had asked. And if you have a 533 FSB CPU then the memory speed supported would be DDR333.

Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor w/ HT Technology (3GHz, 800 FSB)

Intel® Pentium® 4 Processor (2.80GHz, 533 FSB)

Those are the 2 options I found for that PC on their site. Is it 3.0 Ghz, or 2.8 Ghz? If you don't know, you can log into their support site here and you can find out all of the specs.
