Rafael Freitas
Hi guys. I recently ordered a Corsair Hs80 Wireless version and it arrived yesterday. I`ll use it as a wired headset (with charge cable plugged) and notice that after turn off my pc the leds still on (Logo, mic and battery indicator). Is there a way to disable this led lights when my pc is off? The way i used to solve this was going to iCue and turn the bright level to 0. I also noticed that when i unplug the charge cable, the headset turns off all the led lights.
Algarrobo
I would need to try it on my pc, but I can think that maybe, even if you have the headset plugged in maybe you are using the wireless mode. In the instructions they tell you how to switch between wired or wireless mode (by long pressing the power button if I am not wrong) I'd say.. go to the I cue, and set up that the device turns itself off if there is no activity after 2 or 3 mins (there should be no audio playing). Check if the lights then turn off. This could be a temporary solution. I will have a look when I have time and I will try to help you a bit more. A question for you.. when you use the wireless mode, does the white LED in the USB receiver turn on? mine is off all the time.

I`ve already tested setting a timer to turn headset off after 1 or 2 minutes, that didnt solve my problem. Algarrobo
Hey Rafael. Sorry for the late reply. I don't have that issue that you mentioned with my headset. What happens to me is that the keyboard lights (MK 70 low profile) and the headset stand lights are still on after the PC is off. I think this is due to having them connected to a docking station that still has power, so the lights of the devices are also powered. To turn them off I need to turn off (cut the power) the docking station. Maybe this is happening to you. If you have the headset plugged to a USB port that also provides power (even if the pc is off), then you still may get those lights. To change this you'd have to do it in the BIOS of your PC, but first try updating the firmware of the I Cue and and the headsets. If the issue is still there try resetting the headsets. If the problem is still there, then contact Corsair.. that's what I'd do anyway. Keep me posted.
Algarrobo
Just as a note.. I would not keep the headset plugged in all the time anyway. It may not be good for the battery. (if you never used them wireless then I guess it is ok, as you won't need the battery). But I think your "issue" may come from what I wrote in the message above. Good luck! Rafael Freitas
Hi, sorry for the late reply too. Disable energy from USB ports when pc is off really solved my problem, besides that, I have to disable something related to fast initialization on windows. Idk if keeping my headset plugged in will affect the battery life, if that was true they (Corsair) wouldn't say that HS 80 can be wired and wireless.
