Rick1114
I've just completed my first build and am fairly new to RAM timings/Voltages etc etc.. So far I have gone into the A8V Bios and set the Timings manually to 2-2-2-5 (and disabled 2T) which the RAM is spec'd for. Everything passed the Sandra burn-in test as long as I do not overclock more than 5%(I am using the AI overclocking feature in the BIOS until I learn more). But I would like to get that number to 10%. I'm not quite sure if I should relax the timings (if so what to try first?), or keep them as is. Anyone have any recomendations for this ram with the A8V? Just looking to get the best settings for stable & slightly overclocked system. Thanks in advance.. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 8, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 8, 2005 You should really be using a 450 Watt PSU or larger. And I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts if you want to over clock. And I would set the timings to Cass 2.5-3-3-7 and see where it tops out manually setting the Fequency and then tweak the timings to enhance performance.
