rdh_homehotmai
Hi, I have owned a pair of 512mb XMS3200C2PT for a couple of years now. One of the sticks went west a year or so ago, which was kindly replaced. Previously, I had been unable to run my rig - which is only ever completely at stock - at DDR400. After the stick was replaced, all seemed fine. However, over a period of time, more and more errors have been evident. I now find any games will freeze at some point, usually with memory address error messages. Blue screens happen at least 2 or 3 times a week. I have run CPU-Z which confirms that the new chip's SPD reports fine at PC3200, however the original stick reports at PC2700. I have also run the nVidia system utility which also reports one chip as having max reported timings of 200MHz and the other at 166MHz. So it looks like maybe the SPD chip isn't well perhaps. Either way, the system is clearly having a problem maintaining timings that work. So it looks like I need another swap out. "Please MTV, Pimp My Ride"! Cheers, Rob
