Saboface
So the problem I have is that I am trying to plug a CD Optical Drive into my a7200 Gaming PC. I have found the appropriate plug-in sport on the power supply, and plug the SATA data in the appropriate slot, but when I do that? The PC refuses to start up. I unplug the Optical Drive, and the PC once again starts as normal. I think "well, perhaps I'll just plug the CD drive back in now but the second I do this, the PC will have none of it and shuts itself off immediately. I want to plug this CD Optical Drive into my a7200 Vengeance Gaming PC so that it will work and run things off of the disc. Please help me know what I must do for this to happen. Administrators Technobeard Posted June 20, 2022 Administrators Share Posted June 20, 2022 Does the same thing happen if plugged into just power and not SATA? Try the drive in a different system. Sounds like a power issue.
Saboface
If it is plugged into just power, and not SATA, the machine powers on like normal. The drive functions normally in a different system.
