Omar555 Posted June 7, 2005 Share Posted June 7, 2005 I have been having a problem with my PC that I just built. The problem is that my computer will just restart at anytime when in use. It will always restart when installing Doom 3 and Half-Life 2 on the last disk and when getting Windows Updates. I'm running Windows XP. Garvin Posted June 7, 2005 Share Posted June 7, 2005 Omar555, does the reboot occur only when loading to the second WD250 SATA drive? If Windows update is causing a reboot as well I'd suspect something isn't configured right with your hard drive setup in the bios or some hard drive specific driver may be at fault (check Control Panel-System-Hardware-Device Manager-Disk Drives, look for yellow or red marks meaning a driver problem). Have you run Memtest86 to check for ram problems?
