MisterAHA
Hi guys, I have a strange problem with my K83 wireless keyboard. 😕 I'm using a dual-boot-system (linux/windows). At all OS the keyboard works very well, BUT the keyboard is not available at the Bios and also NOT available at the dual-boot-menu. So i can't switch between linux and windows. I also check the bios of the motherboard. => All USB-port are available to us usb-keyboards. Also any other usb/ wireless-dongle -keyboard works very well at my system. Not the K83. I also check it on 3 other system. => same issue. The firmware of the K83 is also the newest one. Do you know what's the problem is?  Best regards Andreas
Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted June 6, 2022 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 6, 2022 As you were informed in your support ticket I found under your account, the issue is going to be a USB initialization issue and the BIOS detecting the USB device as a keyboard that can be utilized in the BIOS and boot select menu. We would recommend you reach out to your motherboard manufacturer for further assistance on determining the proper BIOS settings that need to be changed in order for the motherboard to be able to properly detect and utilize the keyboard outside of the OS. Also if you haven't done so already try changing the USB port you are plugging the wireless USB dongle into by plugging it into the top most USB port on the back of the motherboard. Plugging it into things such as USB hubs/switches, or even front panel USB can cause issues with USB keyboards being able to be used in the BIOS and boot select screens.
