reddragonskate88
I recently installed an H100i RGB Pro XT and downloaded and installed the latest (at the time) iCue 4.23.137 and I noticed that ever so often, the cooler itself will quickly switch to the lighting I have selected in the "Hardware Lighting" within iCue then quickly switch back to what it was set at. I tried looking in the Reliability Monitor within Windows 11 and noticed it has some things listed for when I installed it which can be viewed in the imgur album here The first 4 images are related to what it says about the install, and the last is what is displayed for every time it crashes and this is the clipboard of the latest crash I had of it: Source Corsair.Service Summary Stopped working Date 2022-05-27 7:25 PM Status Report sent Description Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files\Corsair\CORSAIR iCUE 4 Software\Corsair.Service.exe Problem signature Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: Corsair.Service.exe Problem Signature 02: 4.23.0.6 Problem Signature 03: 6241af60 Problem Signature 04: Corsair.Module.PlatinumDevices Problem Signature 05: 4.23.0.6 Problem Signature 06: 6241af58 Problem Signature 07: 99 Problem Signature 08: 8 Problem Signature 09: System.AccessViolationException OS Version: 10.0.22000.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 4105 Additional Information 1: 2beb Additional Information 2: 2beba6fb4680d73a8c78ca7c24ccdb46 Additional Information 3: 9bb8 Additional Information 4: 9bb88b6561abb4251a2162ec0aec9ffb Extra information about the problem Bucket ID: 97703dde8bdb57ec9fd00cfc20774603 (2292346487347561987)

Well that sucks, did you also get the same messages regarding the installation in reliability monitor? Like with my install it says 2 times it passed and 1 time it failed for some reason, I had only ran the installer once and as per it's GUI, it said everything was OK. I went an entire day yesterday without it crashing and just about all of today, but it looks like it just crashed again while I was playing Rocket League. Looks like the same report in reliability monitor as the other day, but now there is a part at the end that says "Files that help describe the problem" Source Corsair.Service Summary Stopped working Date 2022-05-29 11:31 PM Status Not reported Description Faulting Application Path: C:\Program Files\Corsair\CORSAIR iCUE 4 Software\Corsair.Service.exe Problem signature Problem Event Name: CLR20r3 Problem Signature 01: Corsair.Service.exe Problem Signature 02: 4.23.0.6 Problem Signature 03: 6241af60 Problem Signature 04: Corsair.Module.PlatinumDevices Problem Signature 05: 4.23.0.6 Problem Signature 06: 6241af58 Problem Signature 07: 99 Problem Signature 08: 8 Problem Signature 09: System.AccessViolationException OS Version: 10.0.22000.2.0.0.256.48 Locale ID: 4105 Additional Information 1: 2beb Additional Information 2: 2beba6fb4680d73a8c78ca7c24ccdb46 Additional Information 3: 9bb8 Additional Information 4: 9bb88b6561abb4251a2162ec0aec9ffb Files that help describe the problem WERInternalMetadata.xml
reddragonskate88
I tried looking at event viewer and it had listed for this latest crash and it has 2 things related to it. Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted May 31 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 31 If you happened to install the optional KB5012643 Windows 11 update that is going to be the cause of the service crash. https://www.pcmag.com/news/microsoft-suggests-uninstalling-windows-11-update-that-crashes-apps

I figured it might of had something to do with a recent update. I had installed KB5013943 the day it was released, rebooted my machine and nothing that used .NET Framework would start, so I uninstalled the update. I read it could be re-installed and to just re-select the .NET Framework 3.5 box under the "Windows Features" section, so I did that. I wasn't aware that KB5012643 was also messed up. I had installed that update back on April 27th. I had only checked the first box and didn't check the two "Windows Communication Foundation HTTP and Non-HTTP Activation" boxes within. I did this a couple days ago and corsair.service didn't crash for a couple days, but it just did. What would you recommend I do? Should I uninstall KB5013943 and then KB5012643? Would I have to de-select any of the .NET Framework things I selected?

The issue at hand is something you are going to have to take up with Microsoft support as the cause of the service crashing is that update, and if you need assistance with removing the update they are who you will need to speak to. I see. Well I tried uninstalling KB5013889, then KB5013628 just in case I had to remove them in order before and KB5012643 still won't uninstall. What an absolute headache. reddragonskate88
I confirmed via Windows Powershell that this update is no longer installed @Corsair Notepad I have tried uninstalling iCue and using the removal guide and reinstalling the latest version, but still most every day corsair.service crashes. I have Aida64 installed and all of the Corsair & Asetek items in Aida's stability section unchecked. It also crashes when I don't even have Aida64 running. reddragonskate88
I'd like to update this thread by saying that I have just finished doing a fresh re-install of Windows 11 Pro x64 and installed the latest iCue and STILL this issue persists with the same error codes and the same stuff in event viewer as I previously had. @Corsair Notepad What would you suggest I do now? This can't be caused by the update you previously mentioned as I never installed it with this new install. I'm pretty much at the end of my rope troubleshooting this issue.
