ML120 Pro RGB no light

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I recently bought and iCue 5000X and a Ml120 Pro for the back, I installed everything, but the ML120 doesn't turn on the lights like the SP120 on the front.

Is this some issue with software config, or just incompatibility?

How exactly did you connect the RGB cable from the fan in order to power and control the LEDs?

To the case Lighting Node Core

Open the iCUE software, select the Lighting Node Core, and go to the Lighting Setup. Take a screenshot of the entire iCUE window and attach it to a reply.

What happens if you plug the RGB header for that specific fan into port 1?

Nothing.

Doesn't light up.

Most likely a defective fan. If you just purchased it you can return and exchange it with the retailer or you can reach out to our support team for assistance by opening a ticket at http://help.corsair.com

Also be aware the SP-Elite from the case are an 8 LED fan.  The "ML Pro RGB" is the older 4 LED center hub fan.  When the ML-RGB 4 LED is last in the chain, it typically won't cause issues with lighting effects.  However, be aware the 8 LED fans like the SP/ML Elite have additional effects the ML-RGB 4 can't do.  Something like Rotary Stack or Infinity will come out scrambled on the last fan.  However, it should not prevent you from doing common core effects like static colors, the rainbow patterns, color wave, or breathing.

It also cannot cause the problem you are experiencing above, so this in case the ML-RGB does need to be replaced, you have the option of a ML-Elite or SP-Elite to match the others.
