iCue Shows Incorrect DIMM Slot Population

Recommended Posts

Corsair Community,

Running iCue Software Version : 4.23.137.

RAM: 32GB (2x16) Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3600Mhz CL18

Motherboard: Asus ROG Crosshair VIII Hero - Latest Bios 4201

I noticed that the software is incorrectly reporting the positions of populated DIMM slots. From left to right, my DIMM slots are labeled: DIMM_B1 , DIMM_B2 , DIMM_A1, DIMM_A2.

The software reports the populated DIMM slots are the furthest two to the right, DIMM_A1 and DIMM_A2. Empty, empty, populated, populated.

The actual populated DIMM slots are:

DIMM_B2 , and DIMM_A2. Empty, populated, empty, populated.

I don’t believe the software has always had this issue has it? Perhaps this is by design, and I’m just noticing it? If not, here’s my report of the issue.

I’m also including a screenshot of the software issue as well as a photo of what RAM sticks are in which DIMM. Thanks in advance for any advisement!

if you click on DIMM setup, you should be able to shuffle the sticks around on iCUE to make them look as they really are.

As pointed out here you can rearrange and even rotate the DIMMs in the DIMM Setup menu.

Do you know if it's a software problem or something else?

What is the part number listed on the modules of the memory. For example CMW16GX4M2C3200C16.
