JCM005
I have a corsair 5000d and trying to light 10 lights in the case. I have been testing the lighting order by power supply not installed in the PC yet. Trying to make sure everything is working before installing and closing case up. Starting with the commander core XT that came with my H150 capillix I start with the back exhaust fan and then to the 3 fans on the aio on top then down side panel. Once I run out of fan slots on the commander core XT i then start using my commander pro for the remaining 4 fans. Which is ports 1-4 on the seperate rgb hub but the last fan will not light up. If I plug it in the 3rd slot it lights up so I know its not the fan light. If I try another rgb hub I have sitting around connected to the pro it does the same thing the last fan in the order will not light up. The last thing I tried was taking the last fan which was in port 4 of the rgb pro hub and swap it with the fan in number 3 and they all light up but really that defeats the sequential order I was trying to achive. I even tried put the rgb hub into the second port on the pro but it will not light fan 4 unless I swap it with port 3 and put fan in port 3 to port 4. I guess I could just unscrew the two fans from the case and change the order so it will be in sequential but I was trying to find out really the cause of why it needed to be that way. If you moved #4 to the #3 slot and they all light up, the problem may be on the original number #3 fan that is now last. The lighting on Commander Pro, Lighting Node Pro, and Lighting Node Core controllers is serial. As suggested above, contact Corsair Support to get the ticket started, but I suggest testing fans #3 and #4 one at time in the 1 slot of the RGB hub. Then add a second fan to see if it lights up. The problem may be on the return signal to the fan after the last LED.
JCM005
I did reach out to support before posting still waiting on a reply. The pwm connections on the last 3 fans was very stange behavior as well on the last 3 fans in the loop which are new but plugged into old commander pro unit as the core commander is full. If I put them in order 1 then 2 then 3 the last fan would not spin. but if I moved them around say 1 in 1, 2 in 3, 3, in port 5 then they all start spinning. I did not notice any strange behavior on the 6 fans connected to the commander core so decided to to order another commander XT and 3 more fans to see if it might be an issue with one of the fans I just recently purchased. Been using the Ml120 for years never seen any issues like this until this new buld.
