iCue Profiles with Commander Core XT support?

Recommended Posts

I've downloaded every single lighting profile on Corsair's site and only "Titanium" & "Valorant" work with the case fans inside my computer because I switched over to 2 different Commander Core XT's from my Commander Pro's only because I have LL, QL & ML fans inside my Case and it was just too many things with wires running to them behind my case.  I'd love to see some really cool lighting profiles like those on the site that just will work with the newer Commander Core XT.  Please direct me to somewhere I can get my lighting fix fixed.. LoL..  Thanks everyone for checking this out!

Those profiles still need to be updated with the newer Commander Core XT. As such there is no solution to the problem until those profiles are updated.

OUCH!  Corsair REALLY SHOULD advertise that little bit of info because I just spent $120 on 2 new Core XT's and sold my  2 Commander Pro's without any clue that I would just lose all ability to ever use any profiles on the internet.  This really sux!  Corsair really dropped the ball on this one!  Wonder how many other people will be finding this out the hard way!

We only update and support profiles downloaded directly from Corsair.com. It does take time to update profiles for the individual products and the resources of the team responsible for keeping those updated are limited and are update as quickly as possible. Any profile you download from other locations on the internet are up to those third-parties to keep updated.

Seven months.

I just want to ensure I am understanding this correctly.  The Commander Core XT was released in October of 2021.  Your staff are so limited that they can't add profiles over... seven months?  According to Macrotrends, Corsair Gaming had a Net Margin of $50 million in March 2022 alone.  Can Corsair not afford to add another role to lessen the load on what are, apparently, overworked employees?  Not to be belligerent, but it just doesn't make any sense.  I own two of these units.  I built three of my own lighting profiles over a couple of hours.

Seven. Months.

Guys, remember that companies really only understand profit-speak. If it doesn't earn them a profit, they ain't doing it.

I'd suggest making the Corsair iCue lighting team an official "store" and charging a $0.99/mo subscription fee to access all official profiles. Maybe include 3 months free with registration. Creating profiles isn't 'hard' work, but it's time-consuming.

It'd be cool, too, if Corsair made creating creating profiles a little friendlier for plebs like me to be able to create appealing effects. When I try to create custom profiles it's the equivalent of a pre-schooler's finger painting. Crude but colorful lol.

I am one of these people. Corsair changed something in iCUE that will not allow new profiles to show lighting on any fan or light strip when using the CoPro. Went and bought the XT thinking all my troubles would be fixed. Looking at the XT I thought "wow this is a downgrade from the CoPro.." Get home and I am sad. NONE of my old profiles work. Swap back to the CoPro for my favorite old profiles.. Not even Lewis newest profile works 100% on the XT and he made it for the XT. The fans and LED strips are still written for the CoPro lol. Lewis even works for Corsair. When profit is all they care about the little things never get thought of.
