CuzzinChizzy
I have a Corsair RM1000X PSU in my build and the “Premium Individually Sleeved PSU Cables Pro Kit for Corsair PSUs” I want to use the Stock 24 pin power cable that came with the RM1000X for the Motherboard power , and then the Premium cables for everything else. (I have reasons but wanted to keep this short) I’ve read all over that you should never mix PSU cables But… Can you safely mix Stock RM cables with the Premium Sleeved cables? LeDoyen
you shouldn't mix PSU cables with cables from other brands that have different pinouts, and could fry your components. Here you're just talking of different aesthetics, but they are all Corsair cables, so you are totally fine mixing them to your liking of course. Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted May 17 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 17 There wont be an issue here as LeDoyen pointed out the rule about mixing cables is cables between different manufactures. Using the stock 24pin cable will be just fine with the other cables being the sleeved cables from the premium cable kit. Just for some reference here is our cable compatibility chart also. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/psu-cable-compatibility
