S3raphim
Hi All I recently upgraded to the iCUE ELITE CPU Cooler LCD Display Upgrade on 10/05/2022 "i did upgrade to the "core" latest firmware before installing the kit". the issue i am facing is when I select a Gif or picture for the display it all works fine while in windows when the gif or picture has been selected however when I restart or cold booted the PC iCue will load the custom profile (with set gif) then suddenly iCue literally closes down and the default profile starts as if iCue has just been installed I then have to go to the folder and manually run the iCue.exe file only then will it load the app and the custom profile and set gif I chose, When i remove the gif and select the coolant temp "the default" profile then it works fine when I boot or cold boot. i only get the crashes when gifs or picture are chosen, things I have tried to get it to work: 1. Uninstalled iCue, re-installed iCue latest version 2. Uninstalled Asus Lighting Control 1.07.79 3. Uninstalled iCue, re-installed iCue latest version 4. Removed the LCD UBS from the splitter and attached to dedicated USB 5. Removed the splitter and attached both to dedicated USB 6. Uninstalled iCue removed devices from device manager / reset bios 7. installed iCue 8. Bois changes as to how they where before reset 9. attached USB splitter and USB cables 10. install Asus Lighting Control 1.07.79 (now motherboard does not pickup in iCue) Nothing I seem to do is fixing this issue, anyone else have this problem or know of a work around or fix? thank you. Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted May 13, 2022 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 13, 2022 You will need to uninstall the the old Asus Aura Sync software, and instead install the Amoury Crate software. The older Aura software has been discontinued by Asus for over a year at this point and is no longer a supported product by them. It can and does also conflict with the iCUE software, and the included Asus plugin, causing the iCUE software to crash.
S3raphim
i re-installed a fresh windows 10 and tried windows 11 and only installed nvidia drivers and iCue and the problem still persists regardless of it being windows 10 or 11, must an icue issue of the upgrade kit is dead, possible RMA? skygunner27
I am also experiencing the exact same problem! I do not have any Asus products installed on my PC. I just built it 2 days ago(12900K/3080ti etc). Everything is updated. The gif works perfectly at post until Windows loads the iCue software on the desktop. I exchanged my Corsair AIO because I thought it was a hardware problem. Its not. It's a software problem introduced recently, via an online update. Can someone at Corsair, please acknowledge and fix? Corsair Employees Corsair Fer Posted May 16, 2022 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 16, 2022 I tried replicating this but was not able to. Does it only occur from cold boot? Can you try setting iCUE as a higher priority application in Windows? Would you be able to provide me with the gif that is causing these issues for you? PM me a link if necessary. S3raphim
@Corsair Fer the issue still persists from a cold boot or a restart. any gif I try regardless of size causes this issue as for the priority it still does not resolve the problem for me
Corsair Employees Corsair Fer Posted May 16, 2022 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 16, 2022 Does the issue happen if you put your system to sleep and log back into your system?
S3raphim
I am unable to confirm as I don't use sleep / hibernate or any power saving features on my system. @skygunner27 are you able to confirm?
S3raphim
After days of trying to get this issue resolved I got to the point where I just wanted to burn every Corsair product I own and finally move onto another brand a funny thing happened, I uninstalled iCue for the 100th time and some how during all all this troubleshooting I must have deleted the latest version of iCue 4.23.137 and after almost a full day of trying multiple times to get the issue resolved I could not be bothered to download the latest version again so I installed iCue version 4.22.203 and surprisingly it all now works Gifs / backgrounds, i could not believe this so I uninstalled the older version downloaded the new version and boom the problem is back. @Corsair Fer I think your latest version of iCue is broken!!.. older version works. almost lost a valued customer...
skygunner27
I can confirm that the problem is consistent, no matter what gif is used. Even the electric Corsair gif causes iCue to shut down after restart or reboot. I also do not use sleep type functions. I am so deep in the latest Corsair products, it would be super annoying to switch brands. I love my K100 with Nexus. I noticed the problem a week ago on my old 9900K/2080ti system. Now I'm on a completely new 12900K/3080ti system and the issue persists in iCue software.
S3raphim
@skygunner27, have you tried to install the older version of iCue?, if not try it and see as this worked for me.

skygunner27
Where do you find the latest older version of iCue that works? The oldest I found was 4.17.244. Edited May 17, 2022 by skygunner27

6297J
I confirm this is definitely an issue with 4.23.137. If I revert to 4.22.203, the gif on my H150i Elite LCD stays put and iCue doesn't disappear from my tray a few seconds after start up. Going back to the latest version breaks it. I only have Armoury Crate, I have never had Aura Sync on this relatively new build.
