iCUE is unable to set 7.1 channels mode for Corsair Virtuoso XT. Only stereo mode is available.

The issue is as written in the title. To fix the issue, I have reinstalled drivers, and reinstalled iCUE, but nothing worked out.

Please let me know how to fix the issue.

Hi JWC,

Can you indicate how you have you your you headset connected? wireless or wired?

Are you using a dock or hub? What kind of port are you using? What version of iCUE do you have installed?

Does the EQ function in iCUE? Are you using any other 3rd party audio  or RGB software?

Hi, I have tried both, and neither worked (wireless with USB, and usb-wired).

I am not using dock to connect USBs (I am directly connecting them to my laptop).

iCUE version is 4.23.137

EQ function is not really working. It tells I can change EQ presets, but I can't really feel EQ changes. Considering the fact that I am relatively audiophile it is hard for me to say I am the one wrong here, and it seems like the iCUE problem EQ functionality is not working.

Regarding the thrid parti audio, I have installed dolby access, in order to use it together with the new headset. Beside that, I do not have extra info.

My laptop is Razer blade fyi.

Hi JWC,

I was able to get an explanation, 7.1 surround is only available via Dolby Atmos because it currently isn't integrated to iCUE at this time, You would have to use the app otherwise stereo is the only mode that is supported on iCUE.

Hi,

I think the question was erroneous I believe. I wanted to say I am unable to set 8 channel sound via iCUE software...

I'm having a similar issue. Icue won't turn on 7.1 Surround and is stuck on stereo. The bigger issue however is that when I switch to Dolby sound, the headphones are locked to only use two channels instead of 8. Therfore I cant use either Icue 7.1 surround sound or Dolby 7.1 surround sound.

The only way I got the 8 channel working was using the USB cable. You have to do it thru windows sounds. I hope this helps.

Should have gotten the SE's... they default to 8 channel every time you start up the computer! Or turn them on. Or just randomly while you're using it. You'll be begging for stereo... but you'll never get it!! If you're desperate for JK 8 channels... just send the XT's back and get the SE's. They're the same speakers anyway.
