Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted April 29 Corsair Employees Share Posted April 29 Mixing memory kits in any configuration is not a recommended or guaranteed practice. If your intent is to upgrade to 64GB of total system memory it is our recommendation, and best practice to purchase a SINGLE 64GB memory kit instead of attempting to mix two smaller kits together. Mixing memory kits, even of the same exact part number can lead to compatibility issues such as system stability problems, prevent XMP from working correctly, or even prevent the system from booting. Compatibility issues that arise due to attempting to mix multiple memory kits together are not covered by the warranty as neither kit is actually defective in such situations.
