dgroover
I have an ASUS CUSL2 motherboard with 2 256MB RAM modules. The part number is VS256MB133. The computer will not run with both modules in. My first indication was a corrupted pci.sys file on boot up. I would every once in a while boot up ok but I would get blue screen saying Windows has stopped (Win XP Pro). I tried the memtest and it ran clean. I tried it in a friends computer and I saw the same corrupted pci.sys message on boot up. Do I have a bad memory module? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 3, 2005 Please test the memory module/s one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
dgroover
Ok, I tested using MemTest. The one module tested good for 5 passes. The other one I had to stop on pass 0, test 1 with over 500,000 errors. I guess I need to send it back.
