Elite LCD Beta Firmware - 1.1.7.7

Recommended Posts

So something I noticed is that the actual LCD will disconnect when gaming and do the USB disconnect sound that Windows does. It goes through the complete boot sequence of the LCD.

Does the behavior persist if you switch the USB 2.0 header on your ASUS motherboard that the Elite LCD is plugged into?  Did you experience this prior to performing the last two recent firmware updates over the last couple weeks?

Hi @Corsair Nick. Updated right now without any problems.

My only "issue" is with the user interface. I think the translation in Spanish of the last option "Set LCD frame rate" is so long and it overflows the slider.

@Eluryh thanks for bringing this to our attention.  I've flagged this with our Dev team to look into and correct.  Are you still able to adjust the frame rate properly with this UI issue?

No, I only can lower the frame rate as you can see the "minus" button, but cannot click the "plus" button anywhere.

Hi, I recently started to get the problem with the flickering up and down on the LCD screen and I just tried this beta version and it worked for a good 20 mins then I noticed it did the flickering again on 1.1.7.7, it does the flickering on 1.1.6.7 also.

Double checking, does the appropriate firmware version display when you go into the Elite LCD Device Settings?  Also, have you double checked that all your connections are plugged in all the way and secured?  I'd also recommend power cycling the PC based on some of the feedback provided by other users.  If the behavior continues, then I'd recommend putting in a support ticket for further troubleshooting:

It's seem to have cropped up since the last firmware update. I removed it from the powered splitter I bought for the original red triangle issue and plugged it directly into the motherboard header and I also tried using a USB-A 2.0 to USB header adapter and plugging it directly into my motherboard and that also resulted in the same issue occurring. Could this issue still be be because of the amount of bandwidth it requires like you mentioned here? I'd be happy to send in some logs from iCue if that helps.

Great suggestion, go ahead and PM me and @shocksim the logs.  Bandwidth is a possibility, but not for sure what is causing this, and don't want to speculate.  The logs should help bring some clarity.

Would like to note it stops every time I force update by the way.

Please update your Commander CORE with the update that just came out this morning and see if it works with v1.1.7.7. We've not experienced any flickering with this combination, if you still get flickering - let us know. Also, a video of said flickering would be nice to see.

@ccs46 just to confirm, you're on the Beta firmware v1.1.7.7?  You can verify it under device settings for the Elite LCD.

Correct.

First time i have been able to install this at all. New firmware seems to have fixed the USB resource errors. Nothing else seems to have dropped off. Did not need the beta LCD firmware, all options seem to be there.

Are you using a white LCD kit?
The white version has a different LCD firmware version.
1.1.7.7 is the black version of the firmware.
The white version uses a different MCU from the black, so the firmware is different.

v2.0.0.1 means you're on a different screen MCU and don't need to worry about this update. All of the issues this update fixes on the original MCU should be done already for this one. Can just update the Commander CORE and be good for the best experience.
