How can I control 3 NOCTUA 3000 RPM fans using Commander Pro on my Arctic 420

Recommended Posts

I have the Commander Pro and it's installed but switching out the Corsair fans for the summmer since I don't have AC and the 5800x runs hot.

The arctic 420 has the single power header...if I put that on CPU fan...even if no fans attached...will it fool bios and allow me to control the Noctua with ICUE?

I don't want to use the fan headers since each fan is .55 AMP at Max and headers are rated at 1 AMP.

Put what on CPU fan?

Historically the Commander Pro and other Corsair controllers have had difficulty controlling a few European manufactured fans that seem to use a different PWM spec.  The Noctua Industrial 3000 rpm PWM series was one of those, even thought the 2000 rpm PWM version works as expected.  I don't know if any one has tried recently and most people do not use that model because it's a bit awkward with the amperage per fan at there are little gains to be had on standard 30mm radiators in that range.
