vextrim
Hi, When I close iCue and press the X iCue minimizes to tray but it reverts my lighting settings back to default rainbow wave. How do I keep my Static Hardware Lightning settings active while also minimizing iCue to the System Tray? Very frustrating. Thank you!!
c-attack
Are you sure you have set the "Lighting Effects" in the proper place? This sounds like you are in the Hardware Lighting Tab and previewing the effect for when CUE is not running. Then when you close it to the tray it reverts back to the current software lighting assigned in Lighting Effects.
vextrim
Yes, Thank you! This solved my problem. If you had not explained me that I probably would have tried another software! That may say something to iCue's user friendliness...
c-attack
This is a fairly common beginner issue and a lot of people are immediately drawn to “hardware lighting” because they want to change the RGB of their hardware. The “lighting effects” (software mode) vs “Hardware Lighting/Actions” (CUE not active or internal hardware controller mode) is used to describe to the two operational states across most of the gear. There are some older devices that do not have onboard memory and will revert to Spiral Rainbow whenever CUE is not supplying directions. For those devices the Hardware tab will be missing.
