karmallein
VS512MB400, A7N8X Deluxe, AMD Athlon XP 2000+ My problem: I tried messing with the timings, I tried looking online (corsair site said N/A). I been trying to get my setup to run at 200 but its always running at 133 or 200 and thats pretty much it. says in the BIOS 267 or something but when I reboot and it displays the memory frequency and it displays 200 or 133. can I please get help with setting the timings. I bought this new stick of RAM (VS512MB400) thinking I got a great deal ($41). Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 4, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 4, 2005 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB, load Setup/Optimized default settings and try the following BIOS settings; VS1GBKIT400 or VS512MB400 CPU Freq: 133 MHz (266 FSB) System Performance: User Define Memory Frequency: 125% Resulting Frequency: 166 MHz (333 FSB) Memory Timing: Manual SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 7T DDR Reference Voltage: 2.7 Volts AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200/9600/9800) or NVIDIA (5200/5700/6600/6800) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* All other settings are motherboards defaults Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure!
