Papay
Hello. Sorry for my bad english but I'm french. I've got some problems with my RAM memories and my shuttle. My shuttle is a sn41g2v2 (with the last bios : fn41si0q) and my memories are 2 of cmx512Mo 3200xl. When I recieve my computer I had never succeed to boot my computer with this memories. I had to put an other module, configure the bios and with a re-starting my shuttle work good. It make it sometimes : the PC can't boot and I have to do this manipulation : put an other memory module, look in the bios, reboot windows, shut down the pc and replace my corsair modules. I don't know where the problem can come from. Please help me. Thanks in advance.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 3, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 3, 2005 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS for your MB and load Setup/optimized default settings, and try the following BIOS settings; TwinX1024 or TwinX512-3200XL Frequency Voltage Control Spread Spectrum: Enabled Dram timing Selectable: Disabled/User define/Manual SDRAM CAS Latency: 2T SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 2T SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 2T SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 5T SDRAM Burst Length: 8 DRAM Clock: 400 MHz CPU Clock/Freq: 200 PCI-EX/PCI clock: Fixed 100/33 Memory or Dim Reference voltage: 2.8 Volts All other settings should be set to default settings! Then please test them one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let’s make sure it's not some other issue! I would run the test for at least 2-3 passes to be sure! Papay
I've asked also my french internet mag and they said me that it's because my memories haven't a good voltage. In the BIOS I see that they are at 2.59V and they need 2.8V but I can't change it : I haven't the option. Thank you for your answer I will see that on monday.
