magarity
I have the 6 way RGB hub that came with a 3 pack of LL120. They all light up fine. When I put an ML120 RGB in spot 4, I can't find a way to add a second type to the channel nor will it just mindlessly rainbow or anything. Meanwhile my Commander Pro's available RGB channel is 3 pin while the ML fan's RGB cable is 4 pin. Am I just out of luck lighting the ML until I get another RGB hub or am I missing something in the setup for the hub lighting channel?
Corsair Employees Corsair Notepad Posted March 18, 2022 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 18, 2022 You are not able to mix different LED count fans on a single RGB LED Fan Hub + LNP/CP controller. If you wish to utilize the ML fans that you purchased then you will need an additional RGB Fan LED Hub in order to connect it to the 2nd LED channel in your LNP/CP. You can find additional information regarding our RGB ecosystem and how things connect in Zotty's pinned post, linked below.
LeDoyen
iCUE requires all fans in the channel to have the same LED count, regardless of what model it is. For example, several 8 LED count fans use the same setting. You'd really need a second fan led HUB to plug on the CoPro to control your ML as intended. but you could set the channel as 4 LL120 to light up the ML fan. The effect won't play right since it doesn't have the right amount of LEDs, but at least it will light up. And depending on what lighting you apply, you may not notice any issue, visually. it's worth a shot, and doesn't costs anything Edit : beat by Notepad... magarity
Yeah I tried setting it as 4 LL but that didnt work. Strange that the hub is 3 pins and the fans are 4... Oh well.
LeDoyen
the hub has a data input and that's it. the fans have an extra wire because they behave like strips, getting data in, and passing data out to the next fan. that's why they have to be plugged sequentially, and to be the same model (or at least the same LED count).
