Commander Core for lighting only, speeds controlled by motherboard

I have a H115i Elite Capellix and two HD120. I'm disappointed that I can't find an app to send Commander Core speed stats to LCD Smartie so I'd like to use the motherboard PWM headers to control the fan speeds and limit the Commander Core to controlling the fan lighting and pump speed. Is this possible?

Yes.  The lighting and PWM sides are completely independent and it can function as a lighting controller only. Simply move the PWM connectors to your other source. Leave RGB as is. In this instance, you absolutely still need the Com Core because pump motor power is routed through that wide cable on the side.
