Random Game Crashes, and rarely a reboot.

Ahhhhh... Better :): ... Get inside your BIOS & look in the "advanced features" (or close, but Award bioses are very similar) & look for a line that resembles to "DDR Reference Voltage". Then if it's not at 2.7V (it will be lower) make sure you put it at 2.7V as this may help quite a bit...

When I looked under Voltage I never saw anything to be able to set to 2.7v

I would highly suggest to get your motherboard replaced. Knowing that you have an ECS motherboard, more than likely is a bad board than any other component on your system or... Can you please try to test the module in a different system or in a friend system if possible, just to confirm if the memory module is bad, since I really doubt that it is the memory.

Yeah, I told you what happened with error info on memtest as well, and then after running those amount of crashes I've had, and after both windows error brought up information regarding BIOS, however in World of Warcraft it'd still crash to desktop just not a reboot saying what caused it.

I've ahd one crash saying memory can't be read. But anyway I was considering a ABIT AI7 for a new motherboard, any comments on that?

-- I got the same crash error just sitting in Windows desktop. Heres the error report.

Crash Cause Unknown: Consider BIOS Upgrade

Thank you for submitting an error report.

Problem Description

Microsoft is unable to determine what specifically caused the problem you reported.

Consider BIOS Upgrade

During the crash analysis, we noticed the BIOS version on this computer does not match the specifications for the processor that is installed on your computer. This can occur when a newer processor is installed on an older system board or older BIOS. Using a BIOS that does not support the installed processor can result in Windows system crashes. Please contact your computer manufacturer or motherboard manufacturer for an updated version of BIOS for your computer's processor.

Important: Upgrading the BIOS version may require moderate to advanced troubleshooting skills. If you are uncomfortable with performing these steps, you may want to consider consulting with paid technical support.

If your computer contains an Intel processor, you can use special utilities to identify your specific processor. Please click the following link for more information:

Yeah I will, hopefully it was just motherboard causing my problems. If it wasn't ram plan on getting another (2x512) of same ram as I got currently to make it 2g. Not fully sure though yet :sunglasse

So far so good, still haven't got around to trying some CSS or WoW again, but no crashes during Battlefield 2 Demo or any crashes in any other situations.

Haven't been able to tell yet in CSS, I keep getting Loss and Choke in the game with same settings as I had before. So basically impossible to play. :O

Well, I dunno what this is related to. But I was in desktop with a broswer open, and computer froze and screen turned to a bunch of diff scattered colors..

Any idea what this could be caused by?

Guess it's video card... did this morning and then turned to blue screen and said atidvag beginning memory dump.. and when i came back it says how error was caused by Radeon 9800 Pro, then it just straight out rebooted and said error from Radeon too..

Any ideas what to do?

Please try to uninstall the video card drivers and make sure that you load the latest ATI driver. Also on your new board, please set the DDR or SDRAM DIMM reference voltage at 2.7 volts under the soft menu setup and make sure that you have the latest BIOS installed as well.

Well think I fixed that problem with upping voltage to 2.7 volts and then reinstalling ATI Driver/Updates.. however this one file from driver update CLI won't load up on startup like it should becasue of some error.

And then got one more problem :[pouts:

Sometimes while playing a game, or doing anything screen will just straight out go black as if computer went in hybernate mode, and have to manually push button restart.

Any idea what could be the cause of this?

Well, still getting that problem where won't even be able to get into windows, sometimes will just straight out go in that "Hybernate" mode where I have to restart myself.. or will get the Beginning Physical Memory Dump screen saying I have a problem with ati2dvag, which I've reinstalled 3x. And sometimes it'll go in that hybernate mode before hitting login screen, then pop back up to login screen having stuff scattered, the colors anyway.

I ran memtest very quickly lastnight instead of letting it go out because was trying other stuff; then forgot to restart when I went to sleep.

The outcome was 2 passes and 1 error that was located in test #4.

Well - Ended up buying another gig of the same corsair ram except in sep sticks of 512.

Tried one more reformat and it seems like I have no problems. Played CSS for 4hrs without a crash.'

And thanks for all tech help/support that all have given :)
