Ultrag
Hi! Just bought a CMX1024 3200C2 from Corsair, a 1024MB chip, but i'm getting some problems with my old ram. I allready have two Corsair TWINX1024-3200XL DDR-DIMM 1024MB Kit w/two matched CMX512-3200XL DIMMs that i am very happy with, but i'm kinda dissapointed in my new module. The **** won't work with my two other RAMs, i've tried all possible combinations and all :[pouts: . It works fine alone. I've read in another topic here, that i need to change some settings in the BIOS (All is on auto now.) Could you please tell med what these settings should stay at, and if the modules will have higher latency or lower speed now. Motherbord: Asus K8N-E Deluxe
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 1, 2005 First thing, with this platform you cannot mix memory, all of the modules would need to be matched. Second with this MB if you install more than one modules you may be limited to DDR333 as well.

Could you point at a 1024MB module that would work for me, please? :[pouts:
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 1, 2005 I am sorry but there is no way to guess this, and I would not suggest mixing memory with this MB. It may not post if you mix modules. I think there is a statement about this in the user manual. You can either use XMS3200XL or XMS3200C2 but not both at the same time. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 1, 2005 If you need more than 1.0 Gig you would need to use Twinx2048-3200C2 for best performance. Sorry!
