icue causing 'stuck keys' and other issues

Recommended Posts

I recently got a k95 kb and scimitar mouse. I felt it was time to also upgrade to icue 4 from icue 3. After doing so, occasionally, the keyboard will stop responding. Attempts to type will show a key is stuck for a few seconds, and then with cease to receive inputs at all. This behavior persists until I shut down icue. When icue is not running everything works fine. I have already wiped all my profiles, and I have removed and reinstalled. Is my only recourse to bust back down to 3?

That's not a CUE 4 specific bug and is going to be local.  I would try the full clean install and make sure you get the registry wiped out.  Also, can you be more specific about your hardware?  Is that an actual K95 (18 G-keys) or K95 Platinum or K95 XT?  Scimitar 2015 that is not supported in CUE 4?  Or Scimitar Pro or Elite that is?

I have completed the above procedure already. I read about it in another post and knew the first suggestion was going to be a clean reinstall. I am using a corsair k95 platinum XT and a Scimitar Elite. (I bought it new about 2 weeks ago).

I find it hard to believe its a local issue because everything literally works great as long as iCue is not running. Only when I turn on iCue does anything begin to fail.

Local meaning related to your machine and not a universal CUE 4 problem.  Obviously it's essentially unusable in that state.  Most of the time something like this is reported there either is a problem between CUE and the OS (clean install should address that unless on the OS side) or there is another program attempting to access resources at the same time.  Any other peripheral management or RGB programs running that might cause CUE to hang?  That appears to be the general issue?  I assume all Corsair lighting freezes up at this time as well.

In CUE settings, turn on debug logging and then I would start a support ticket with Corsair so you have some place to send the logs.
