Can you tell me our modules part# (How To Read the Memory Label) and the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

I reviewed all possible solutions in the RAM Guy forum (corsair forum) and found that I can configure the memory at 2.5,3,3,6 or 2.5,3,3,7 or 2.5,3,3,8 at memory voltage 2.7/2.6/2.5 volts suggested for AGP slots with that card but it didn’t work and Then windows restart again and again .so I tried all and the pc. Always with the same errors using this corsair memory module.

I tried changing the corsair memory position to different slots like this:

1. Slot 1

2. Slot 2

3. Slot 3

But it didn’t work either.

I used a memtest X86 Version 3.0 and the module has 4 bad sectors.

I put the memory module on slot 1, 2 and 3; I have the latest BIOS for my MB, It is not the problem. I have tried another corsair module that has the same specs and the pc works well but when I try with the memory which I am trying to claim the warranty the computer restarts again and again.

I TRIED THE FOLLOWING CONFUGURATION ON MY PC:

Advanced Chipset:

Memclock Mode: Limit

Memclock Value: 2:1 (DDR400)

Bank Interleaving: 4/Enabled

Burst Length: 4

SDRAM CAS Latency: 2.5T

SDRAM RAS to CAS Delay (tRCD): 3T

SDRAM Active to Precharge Delay (tRAS): 6T

SDRAM Row Precharge (tRP): 3T

Hypertransport: 4X

Jumper Free/Frequency Voltage Control:

Spread Spectrum: Enabled

CPU FSB Clock: 200

DDR Voltage: 2.7/2.75 Volts

AGP Voltage: Default *unless you have ATI (9200 or 9600) or NVIDIA (5200 or 5700) then 1.6 Volts suggested!* BUT I ALSO TRIED WITH 1.7 VOLTS.

All other settings were set as default.

Then I tested it with http://www.memtest.org and I ran the test 3 times and it did not work and a message appeared saying “there were 4 bad sectors”. Unfortunately I did not copy the sector’s number error and I am not able to run the test again because I don’t have enough time.

Notes:

1. asusk8ne deluxe doesn’t have an option to change burst length:4

2. asusk8ne deluxe doesn’t have an option to change bank interleaving: 4/enabled

3. asusk8ne deluxe doesn’t have an option to change spread spectrum:enabled

4. My ATI is 9600 radeon with 1.5 volts default.

5. My board (asus k8ne-deluxe) doesn’t have 2.8/2.85 volts options. It only has 2.5 or 2.6 or 2.7 volts.

I tried changing memclock value to 200 MHz and 400 MHz but it didn’t work either.

I am sure that my MB is showing the DDR frequency or the actual clock frequency. I verified this with http://www.memtest.org as it showed the DDR Frequency. In addition, with this MB I was sure that I had the FSB Jumper set to pins 2-3 as well.

I have run a lot of tests and I had lost a great deal of time to try to make the memory work and this has affected my business´ performance for the past 3 months. How do I do to claim the memory warranty?

First thing the modules you have "CMX512-3200PT" should be set to Cass 3-3-3-8 not Cass 2.5-3-3-6. I think you have this part confused with our XMS3200C2 modules. Please try the modules one at a time and just load setup defaults and then set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and let the bios set the timings.

Ok . I tried that already and it did not work either. the pc reboots itself. I ran the test 3 times again and it showed 4 bad sectors.

I want to claim the warranty for this product because i have been trying to fix the memory with your advise through the forum but I have lost precious time doing this with dissapointing results. I appreciate your efforts but I am entitled to claim the warranty and i want to do that as soon as possible.

Thank you
