EnzoLT
Okay, problem. My mobo, MSI K8T Neo-FSR currently has the Corsair 512mb Value Select cas2.5 RAM. Im thinking of buying the Value Select 2x512mb Cas 2.5. My mobo manual says I can only have two RAM that are double-sided, the current RAM I have in it is already double-sided, which leaves me the option of adding one more double-sided and one single-sided. Do I really have to follow the rule of having only two double-sided RAM. The 1 gig kit is double-sided so I cant decide whether to just buy it. Help me. Can I just put in three double-sided or what????
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 1, 2005 All of our modules that are 512 Meg and larger would be double sided. And with this platform or MB if you add more than 2 double sided modules you may be limited to DDR333. Sorry but this is a limitation of the platform not the MB or memory! Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 1, 2005 Again, I would not suggest mixing memory, your system may not post if you do!

Dxreaper
I have a MSI Neo-FSR motherboard. I was using 1 stick of Corsair Valueselect 400mhz 512mb Ram mixed with (2)no name generic 256mb sticks. It worked fine at 333mhz for a total of 1gb or ram. I wanted to upgrade due to BF2 slowdowns. So I bought another 512mb valueselect and another 1gb valueselect hoping for 2gb total. When I installed the sticks my motherboard didn't work. I have a D-Bracket thing that tells me whats wrong based on which lights light up on the D-Bracket. It said it was an early chipset initialization. I tried taking out the 1gb stick and it worked. I took out the 2 512 sticks and put in only the 1GB. I thought that mismatched memory would work since it worked before but is there any reason it's not working now? Or is there anything I can do about it?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 3, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 3, 2006 Again, I would not suggest mixing memory, your system may not post if you do! I am sorry but with this platform all of the modules would need to be exactly matched.
Dxreaper
ok thanks. So basically if I get 1 more stick of 1gb valueselct 400mhz memory it will work? so (2) of Corsair value select 1gb 400mhz on a MSI K8T Neo-FSR will work fine?
