After the last update my LCD screen “settings” button on ICUE has disappeared again. Forced firmware update and nothing. Will try unplugging and re plugging it and see if it works. With each update some things are getting worse. Really disappointed with this…

Updated Issue #2 to include the following:

  • “The firmware update for Commander CORE will also include an update to the protocol we use to send data points from the PC to the LCD that should increase reliability and reduce the frequency of the red triangle error (aka General Fault), in addition to us fixing Issue #1.”
  • Updated Release Timeframe: Late-March 2022

Hi

Does anyone know if Corsair is looking into the No 'Screen Setup' in the Elite menu issue? I have looked through the thread but can’t see it.

The most common issue being the red ‘!’ triangle. I have fixed this be removing the plastic sheath with the cut out for the pipes. With that on it didn’t/barely made an electrical or magnetic connection between the LCD & pump head (AMD Bracket) & when it did it would then come loose or even fall off as the magnets where not connecting either.

How just left with the No ‘Screen Setup’ issue!

I'm also dealing with this issue, any help would be appreciated! Unless it's a firmware thing..

If it’s the No 'Screen Setup' issue you are having, I have tried everything I can find on the web for around 3 evenings straight now & nothing works.

I can now only assume it is, as you say, a firmware issue. I've now toughly gone through all the hardware & software advise which led me to look at the physical connection between LCD & pump head. That all works fine now the sleeve is not getting in the way of the connection. Screen is not loose/falling off, it comes on at boot, no ‘!’ triangle, seems to be receiving data from the head as it displays the Liquid Temp which changes, it is visible in iCUE. But I can only change the ring in Lighting. Still no ‘Screen Setup’. Also tried all the re-install advice, power down advice, checked iCUE software & Firmware, nothing. Its as if Corsair ‘forgot’ to include it in the last update!

Sorry I can’t be of any for help. If you do find a fix PLEASE do post.

Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to share my experience in that I was never able to get my LCD screen to work with adding the '9-Pin USB Motherboard Male Header to Single USB 2.0 Type A Male Cable 7.8inch' adapter plugged into the back I/O.

I did finally received my full replacement AIO today after a less than ideal troubleshooting / RMA experience and instead of replacing everything I just replaced the Commander Core and....boom back to normal. LCD screen returned instantly, no red triangle, and the LCD icon for configuring reappears back in iCue.

Literally just swapped the Commander Core. Kept everything else in place.

iCue is pressing me to do the firmware upgrade to 2.6.201 which I am most certainly not going to do.

I am not positive it will stay this way and I will report back after a few days of use.

Thoughts?

Thanks.

Hello,

I have too the red triangle (!), but i have another issue that are not listed here ( but other user have also on multiple forum), sometime when i start PC , my FAN stop working (but lighting working), and icue not detect FAN, i stop ICUE and fan restart (material fan i supposed), i need to power off my supply power, wait 20s and start pc to have fan detected (but sometime need to power cycle my power supply multiple time).

Is this incident known to Corsair?

Because my pc shuts down when the coolant gets too hot and I'm afraid of damaging my processor.

Sorry fo my bad language, i'm not speaking very well in english.

Regards.

I will take that over something even more general like "Quarter 2".  I am sure they will push it out as soon as they are done with there testing.

I hope corsair can add a "Carousel" fuction that allow to set multiple sceen types and automicly change by setting the duration  (e.g., What NZXT Z series or ROG Ryujin have done)

I think it is easier to develop and add by a software update, as there already available different sceen types?

Can you share photos of the section you modified that was making contact with the cooling pipes?  I'd like to forward this to our engineering team to look at.

Hi @Tch, I've created a ticket from your post as we would actually like have the unit shipped in for evaluation.  Please follow the instructions provided to you by the support agent on your ticket.

Will the new firmware update solve the driver issues?

I didn't have the red triangle.

Then it appeared, but rebooting the PC cleared it.

Then it started appearing more and more.

Now it's permanent. (unless I close iCue, at which point it works again) Forced a firmware update, and that worked. Until I restarted, now its back.

Not even using the splitter - its going straight into one of my motherboard's headers.

Great stuff.

Exactly the same situation in my build, it got worse day by day. Now it's permanent.
The red triangle started appearing before the PC is even booted, right after I turn on the power strip (even if the computer has been shut down for days).

And given the fact that it pops right back on as soon as I quit iCue, leads me to believe its 100% a software issue.

Just wanted to report that I am also impacted by this. I recently upgraded to an iCUE H150i ELITE CAPELLIX Liquid CPU Cooler. Previous version of iCUE software installed and it prompted me to update to which I did. No issues with iCUE or the H150i, so I decided to purchase the upgrade kit direct from Corsair. It shipped from Taiwan and was installed this week. I followed the install guide from a Corsair YouTube instructional video and everything went great. During the initial install, I forgot my motherboard had two USB headers and was utilizing the splitter, since then I am connected to two different headers. With the splitter and direct to USB header, I receive the infamous red dorito.

Upon immediate power supply switch-on to my PC, I received the red dorito, and no option in iCUE to perform screen customization. I tried to force a firmware update on the H150i and that did not resolve the issue. Even went as far as to connect the original LED header to see if there was an updates available in iCUE.

Specs:
i9 9900KF
Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 - latest firmware F15
32GB Corsair RAM
Windows 11

Corsair iCUE software:
v.4.21.173

Liquid Cooler:
v.2.6.201

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software, have not gone as far as others as to remove registry entries, appdata etc. That's a bit excessive and I'm patient enough to wait for a driver/firmware update. While it is rather disappointing to spend $100 on something that doesn't fully work, the option to refund is always there.

Anyway here's to hoping this upcoming update fixes things for a lot of folks!

@xJ3ST3R

Same, ordered from Corsair / TW late last week > Wisconsin yesterday.  Installed today.  Same either triangle or just not found in software/no option in iCUE to perform screen customization.

Its found under bluetooth devices.  Plugged directly into MB on USB both ports.  Reseated a bunch of times, Full uninstall with (removing registry / devices / manual file delete from program files / pf (32) / appdata / localdata/ etc)  no change.

H150i

Specs:
i7-12700K
ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4 - Latest non BETA firmware
64GB TeamForce DDR4
Windows 11

Corsair iCUE software:
v.4.21.173

Liquid Cooler:
v.2.6.201

Hey guys. I’m having the same issue as well with the upgrade kit. The LCD works but only displays liquid temp. No screen setup in icue. I’ve done all the workaround the threads about it have suggested. This has to be a firmware problem corsair needs to fix soon.

Just to add to this thread new build 98% everything corsair, had almost every issue mentioned here got it to work but now I can't get the screen settings in icue and from the looks of it it's no worth opening a ticket for that I'll be keeping an eye on this thread and seeif there's a fix

I find it shocking and incredibly disappointing it has already been this long and Corsair still has not released a fix for this RTOD... For a company as established and with as many engineers and resources as they have, I truly hope this issue is at the top of their priority list, especially for those here who have spent hundreds to thousands of dollars on their products like myself only to have to stare at this ridiculous red triangle on our Elite LCD.
