saleyoun
I just upgraded my Asus P4PE motherboard from a P4 2.0Ghz with 768MB memory to a P4 3.0Ghz with 2Gig Corsair memory (VS1GB400C3) and the system is very unstable. It freezes very frequently requiring to reboot and loose all current operations. I also upgarded the motherboard BIOS from 1001 to 1006, and/or 1007 (BIOS 1005 and up support the 3.0Ghz processor) getting the same results - UNSTABLE. I have not tried the BIOS 1005 yet. Does anybody knows what may be the cause of the problem? I purchased the memory and processor from TigerDirect.com if that helps any.
saleyoun
I've been researching this issue and it seems like I need to upgrade my motherboard. Will the two sticks of memory (VS1GB400C3) DDR 1Gig PC3200 work in the Asus P4P800 SE? The Corsair site states that these memory sticks will work with the Asus P4P800 SE but the Asus web site doesn't list any Corsair memory for this motherboard. Any ideas? Yellowbeard
Just curious, which CPU did you get? A 3.06b/533 or a 3.0c? Either should work well along with your RAM in a P4P800 SE. Mike.
saleyoun
I have a P4 3.0Ghz. By the way, I just purchased an Asus P4S800D-X motherboard. Let's hope the memory I have works with it.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted June 1, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted June 1, 2005 With P4PE if you use an 800 FSB CPU you can only run one module at DDR400. And I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.7 Volts and test them one at a time to be sure.
