T2k
It started today: short beeps and display keeps resetting itself, displaying 8888s... sometimes it comes back and shows the temperature but aftfer a while the whole thing starts again... what should I do? Another, forever problem (it's the same from day 1): 'extra mode' kicks in and out because it's constantly on the edge of 40 Celsius - how can I switch OFF this function? KaptCrunch
T2k looks to me that your PSU isn't enough to carry the HCX, bare min is 400 watts' try changing around power plugs to see if goes away or use another PSU for the HCX

T2K, Being that you had joined the fourms here some time back, your HC unit must have been working just fine up to this point. Did you change anything in your computer? Adding extra fans and more hardware can require additional power from the PSU. If that is the case, then the HC will be compromised to draw the required power. You'll need, at least, a 400W or better PSU. If in fact, nothing had changed, then the display board power connections to the unit need to be checked. Verify that all connections are secure. After all the above criteria have been met and the issue still exists, contact Corsair support for further corse of action. Stev
