baldeagle
Hi, I've just bought one stick of 256MB PC133 168-pin valueselect. The part number is VS256MB133A. It is single sided with eight 48LC32MBA2-75 D chips. I can only get it to run at 100MHZ - at 133MHZ I just get bleeps at power-on. Is this module incorrectly labelled?? Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 25, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 25, 2005 Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
baldeagle
I've tried it in a four different machines with 100 and 133 FSB's. In all cases it runs at 100Mhz, but not 133. Are these chips definitely 133Mhz? The Micron Technology website (chip manufacturer) lists these chips as 100Mhz - that's why I'm asking if the stick is possibly incorrectly labelled. The boards I have tried are:- Intel D845WN at 100 and 133 Jetway V266B at 100 and 133 HP Pavilion 8750 at 133 Powermac Beige G3 at 100 Thanks.
