Corsair Virtuoso Xt Mic Issues

Recommended Posts

Have had the Corsair Virtuoso XT RGB Wireless since July and have had no issues until a couple days ago when using the headset wirelessly to one PC and with 3.5mm audio jack to another PC, the mic stopped working normally. Currently, it only works wirelessly (at all really) when the 3.5mm cable is plugged into the headset, nothing else. Does not work with the USB cable plugged in.

Redownloaded iCue, issue persisted through formatting of all hard drives and upgrade from windows 10 to 11. Followed the Corsair XT unresponsive troubleshooting tips Corsair provides to reset headset. Mic is recognized in Windows as normal and all other input&output devices besides the Corsair XT headset are disabled. Only receives input in Windows when 3.5mm cable is plugged into headset, not computer. The Corsair Wireless dongle is plugged into a USB 3.0 slot and has been moved to different ports during troubleshooting.

Opened a support ticket, but support is delayed, any ideas?

I'm having the exact same issue as well. Initially, I thought the mic was dead but after finding this thread and reading your post, I  tried plugging it in via the 3.5mm cable and realized it still worked as long as I kept it connected that way.

Did you  hear back from Corsair eventually? Did they have any working solution for you?

Considering I bought it for the wireless "studio" mic quality for taking and making calls this is a pretty deal breaking bug for me.

I hope they fix it soon!
