iCUE not detecting Commander Core or Lighting Node

Recommended Posts

I just upgraded my PC and went from having just the Lighting Node to that plus the Commander Core and the RGB control that is part of the 4000X RGB case.

When starting iCUE up after the build, it is only showing the RAM, KB/M, and cooler controls in iCUE... but not controls for the other iCUE components.

I've got two fans plugged into the iCUE control built into the case and the Commander + Lighting node are both plugged into USB slots on the MOBO and the SATA connections. The Commander has to be working since the cpu cooler and fans are all connected to it, but I can't get them to show in the iCUE software to adjust them.

Is there something I've missed or a way to get iCUE to recognize the lighting node and Commander?

If it's the Commander core that came with the AIO pump then I believe that iCUE sees the pump head instead of the Commander core.   That's how it works on my new build.  I think I read that somewhere too.  I'm not sure why the lighting node doesn't show up.  Have you tried to uninstall and then re install I use software?I had an issue where I use wouldn't see the Commander Core XT that I had ordered for extra fans.  I ended up taking the extra Core Commander XT and put in a lighting node until I can get the Commander Core XT replaced.

Yep, looking into the pump head it showed the fans and then the LED ports under it. Guess I was expecting it to show the pump on it's own along with the commander.

The lighting node ended up being the USB connection came loose off the MOBO when cleaning up cable and moving them around in the case.

So everything is working now, only thing I couldn't figure out was the built in RGB controller with the case. Couldn't figure out how to get the LED controls to show up in iCUE so I ended up just moving the fans from that into the commander and now they're working with profiles.
