*Control Wheel Ideas*

I am struggling to find a good use for the control wheel on the K100.
Most of its features are either media-related and based on media players I don't use, or straight up more convenient to use via regular shortcuts.

Now I could be wrong, but I think one of the biggest problems is lack of market research.
I don't see any polls by gaming peripheral companies asking their customers what they actually want, and I realize sometimes people don't even know what they want until they tried it, so I figured why not make a little collection of what people would like to use the control wheel for.

So far, outside of proper game integration to do unique stuff with it in games, I have only come up with 2 functions I would like to use it for.
1) Adjusting OC settings so that I don't have to alt+tab out of the game and right-click MSI Afterburner, which sometimes even bugs out and hides underneath the taskbar.
2) Adjust YouTube playback quality. It's a pain to constantly readjust. It is supposed to remember your favored setting, but it's not reliable for me, at least on my Brave browser.

What about you guys?

since home office becomes the norm, why not have alt-tabbing on the wheel to quickly switch between apps

Yes that's one function of it, but my hand hovers over the alt and tab area anyway so why would I lift my hand and reach for the wheel up top, possibly even having to press the button several times to find the alt+tab preset, then scroll when I can just do it instantly from where my hand rests anyway?

because it's faster with a wheel than alt tabbing and scrolling with the mouse wheel?

If you only have 2 or 3 windows opened, alt tab is faster, but i regularely have dozens of windows when working. maybe people in that used case would rather have a big wheen to roll between apps without having to tap the keyboard 20 times.

Now i don't know how the K100 wheel currently works. Don't own one 🙂
