rabbitfarm
Good morning. My Award bios is telling me my memory is bad. At first, I was having video troubles when switching between windows: the machine would stop or the video screen would go blank. Then, one day, I got continuous beeping, so I replaced the power supply, not having decoded the Award bios. Then, I reseated the RAM. Then, I got one long beep, 3 short, and no video. I've tried removing first one and then, the other RAM card, and swapping their slots, but no dice. How could both RAM cards be bad?
Wired
It's doubeful both are. Could be one or both memroy slots, could be the memory controller. Test the memory in another motherboard, and other memory in your motherboard. What CPU / FSB / Motherboard do you have? What is the exact part # and revision # of each stick? Is it a TwinX pack?
