iCUE 4000X RGB fan lights don't work

Hi, I've just built a system using the iCUE 4000X case.

All connected properly (USB connector on the controller is attached to the Mobo) and the fans spin nicely, but the lighting on the fans has never come on.

I've installed the iCue software and selected 3 SP RGB Series Fans (I've actually tried all of the fan options).  There is no option for SP RGB Pro fans.

Nothing is working.  I also have 2 RAM modules which the iCue controls the RGB lights just fine.

Is this a defective controller or is there something I'm missing?

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

You should see an option for '8 LED Series Fans', the SP RGB Pro fans are mentioned in the descriptive text below the selection box.

Hi Mark - I found that setting and saw the reference to the SP RGB Pro fans.

So my settings are correct and it is all connected, but still no lights.

I'm guessing the controller is defective. Any other suggestions?

Did you make sure to connect the SATA power for the controller to a SATA power cable from your PSU?

Finally sorted.  I unplugged everything on the controller and re-plugged it in and all is well.  Not quite sure what was the culprit as everything seemed seated properly, but it's all working now.

I see its common issue my same got 2 days ago work all fine now 1 fan only working leds
