HS60 Haptic... CORSAIR please? I know SO MANY have been asking for help and not ONE answer to this problem 1y later :(

Recommended Posts

Hello been asking for help since I bought two of these headphones which I REALLY like. So plugging the headphones into USB2 or USB3 or USB powered does not stop the problem. Going to another computer incase its my computer same thing happens. A simple search in Google "how to fix corsair hs60 haptic shuts off" you find others have this same exact problem. NO CLUE what it is. I think some kind of static? yet tried everything. Just moving in chair.. off they go. Put them down pick them up.. sometimes off other times till on. TRIED every USB port did nothing. Turned off USB power sleep. Tried ICUE v3 v4 installed or not still same effect.

Forgive me what does not help is when HERE Corsairs answer is to UPDATE firmware.. hmm I was told at the start there is no firmware. ICUE ANY computer or Laptop there is NO offer to update firmware.  IF you are from Corsair can you please please before you reply look into this ask someone that KNOWS these headphones and knows about this issue since we KNOW there is a issue. I have no other headphones that do this that are USB. Also once in a great while the STEREO will flip right is left and left is right.

My thinking is its the cord. A very bad insolation of the cord.

Hi Zeblade,

Please go to CONTROL PANEL / HARDWARE AND SOUND / POWER OPTIONS and then click on CHANGE PLAN SETTINGS (for your current default power plan). After that click on CHANGE ADVANCED POWER SETTINGS.

When new window opens, scroll down the list a bit until you hit USB SETTINGS. Click little square with plus in it, and then click another little square with plus next to USB SELECTIVE SUSPEND SETTING. Check the state of it, and make sure it's set to DISABLED.

See if that makes any difference. Hope this helps.

Thank you :) I have done that. They still go off.. reinstalled ICue just incase.. its  been like this .. no lie since day one.. on my sons computer.. had them over 30 days so bought another since I thought the ones I had were bad...but nope the 2nd pair do the same exact thing. Can't play Skyrim.. well IF they go off I have to quit Skyrim and then restart.. not huge problem but NO OTHER head phones do this.. USB that is.  Buying USB C to usb thinking USB C would have more power.. nope.. buying new USB POWERED nope did nothing.. another motherboard..nope.. on and on. Very very very unhappy

I also have this issue. The headset will randomly disconnect and more often so after putting them down (i.e. removing them from your head momentarily).

It's extremely frustrating, and nothing seems to help. This is what I've tried, and it's not even an extensive list, but it's everything I can think off from the top of my head:

  • Restarted computer
  • Removed drivers from Device Manager and uninstalled iCUE + reinstalled everything again
  • Tried running audio troubleshooter
  • Tried every single USB port (ranging from USB 2.0 to 3.0), both front and back
  • Tried using on macOS, Windows and Linux, they all behave the same
  • Tried iCUE version 3 and 4
  • Tried disabling USB power suspension in both Energy Settings and Device Manager
  • Tried disabling any UEFI settings that could indicate any type of energy saving management, etc
  • Tried a clean install of Windows
  • Tried maneuvering the cable in different directions
  • Tried removing all other USB devices

These are my specs that could be relevant:

  • Asus Z370 MAXIMUS X HERO
  • Corsair AX860i Digital
  • Intel Core i7-8700K 3,7 GHz LGA1151

I'm planning on doing an RMA just to see if I get another batch of headsets that don't use low-grade components...
