Asus B360-Plus Motherboard Can't get Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 2x8gb ram working

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I currently have an ASUS B360-plus tuf motherboard with 2x8gb Corsair vengeance RGB ram sticks (Corsair Vengeance RGB 16GB (2x 8GB) 2666MHz DDR4 RAM, Voltage: 1.2V, Latency Timing: CL16, Speed: 2666MHz (PC4-21300), 2 x 8GB DIMM Dual Channel Kit, Intel XMP Profile Support, non-ECC Unbuffered Memory, CMR16GX4M2A2666C16).

I kept getting blue screens of death due to a memory error so decided to get some new ram. I purchased 2x8gb Corsair vengeance RGB Pro ram sticks...

Memory Type: DDR4
Memory Speed: 2666 MHz
Voltage: 1.2 V
Designation: PC4-21300
Memory Size (Total): 16 GB
Number of Modules: 2
Memory Size (Individual): 8 GB
Pin Configuration: 288 pin
Memory Package: DIMM
Bus I/O Configuration: Unbuffered
Error Correction: No
CAS Latency: 16-18-18-35

These ram sticks don't work either on their own or with the currently installed ram. They light up but the computer won't boot at all. I recently upgraded my bios for windows 11 (although I went back to Windows 10) and couldn't see any bios options to change for the new ram.

Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks, Jon
