Aurhinius
I am unable to run these modules at rated speeds with bank interleave and 1T enabled at 2.8v I have run memtest and while I could get it to pass 5 times without error the system would instantly fall over when running prime 95. If I disable bank interleave and switch to 2T I can get the system running at 250FSB but not 275. I have a feeling the memory is not entirely compatible with the A64 setups at rated speeds or my modules are faulty.
Wired
Do you know if your CPU can OC that high?
Aurhinius
short answer, yes i have dropped the multiplier right down. tweaking mem settings makes it more stable but not more than 30 mins of prime or gaming. it is the memory. if i alter some settings like drive strength it just won't boot at alll. disabling cpc and bank interleave givs me more stability. 15 mins more prime95 etc
Wired
Do you mean you dropped the CPU multiplier, and raised the FSB?
Aurhinius
Yes I have dropped the multi to 9 and had the FSB at 275. As mentioned if I disable CPC and bank interleave I can get some kind of stability but it is still not stable even at 250. I do a memtest at the same settings and it returns some errors after pass 5 or so.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted May 23, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted May 23, 2005 Please test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org and I would set the Dim Voltage to 2.8 Volts as well. If you do find one failing then lets get it or them replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However; if you get errors with both modules, that would suggest some other problem. And I would try testing the memory in another system to be sure. And XMS4400C25 was developed for Intel platform, but there are many users who have used these in some of the new Nforce4 chipset socket 939 MB's with our problems.
