iCUE H170i ELITE CAPELLIX with Noctua NF-A15 HS-PWM / Can I use those fans?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I purchased Corsair iCUE H170i ELITE CAPELLIX, and I want to replace RGB fans with Noctua NF-A15 HS-PWM chromax.black.swap.

https://noctua.at/en/nf-a15-hs-pwm-chromax-black-swap

Can I do this?

If I can, do I have to connect Noctua fans to the RGB controller included with iCUE H170i to controll the Noctua fans (Noctua is not RGB)

Or I can do this connection in a different way?

Thank you.

Those are the wrong fans for a water cooling radiator application regardless of controller.  They are the round frame type often used with specific air coolers.  You need the 140x140 square shape model and it will need to be a PWM fan to be controllable on the Commander Core.

This is awesome infomation, thank you so much!
I just want black non-RGB fans.
Could you advice something with great quality like Noctua, or any other Nocuta fan?
I don't have good knowledge about fans, but I like sound of the Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM, this is why my choice was Noctua, but clearly it was the wrong fan for this job.

You will have 3 ML-Elite fans on H170i.  It is not necessary to activate the RGB and you do have full control over them.  You also can do very subtle things with them.  I will send you a message with the other fan type.
