chenderson
Hi, I installed the above cooler along with 3 other case fans (corsair 5000x base fans) into the included commander pro module that includes 6 PWM headers and 6 RGB headers. My case fans are detected and light up, but no matter what I do, my AIO fans do not light up, nor are they detected by ICUE. I've also tried using the included RGB hub with the case, but when I do that, the hub is detected, but not a single fan. I've tried multiple configurations of fan order in the CoPro, but none of them have resulted in the AIO fans working. I was wondering if this is likely due to 3 faulty fans (unlikely IMO) or me messing something up. Thanks.
c-attack
Can you be specific what fans you are connecting to the Commander Core? The AIO comes with 3 "ML-Elite OEM" fans. The case comes with SP-Elite fans. Both are "8 LED fans" and should be set as such in the Lighting Set-up tab. The Com Core is supposed to detect fan type automatically but you can force a specific configuration like "8 LED series fan" x 3 or 6. You will need to add a lighting effect in that tab once the configuration is complete. You should see visible fans with LEDs in the UI when it's working. If still stuck, try a full shutdown, flip the power switch off for 15 seconds, then back on a boot up. The Com Core requires a power cycle for PWM detection. It may need one to get itself on track. The com core only detects the SP Elites (so case fans) and not the ML Elites whenever I run the wizard, or by itself. 19 minutes ago, c-attack said: The Com Core is supposed to detect fan type automatically but you can force a specific configuration like "8 LED series fan" x 3 or 6. I've tried manually setting it but it's no use, the fans still don't show. The fan lights don't turn on by themselves when the PC starts anyways, which makes me think its a problem with the RGB connecters 18 minutes ago, c-attack said: If still stuck, try a full shutdown, flip the power switch off for 15 seconds, then back on a boot up. I've tried plugging the case fans that I know to work into the RGB hub that comes with the 5000x case, and I can only get to port 1 and 2 before the further ports stop working, so I can't even plug my fans into that one. Regardless, I've plugged my AIO fans into RGB hub ports that I know to work and they still don't light up, which is making me think it is a hardware issue. A restart will sill keep the power on the device. However, I think this is a slim hope at this point. The thing bothering me is the Com Core is not a sequential series like the other controllers. Even if one fan is bad, the other two should light up. This is very different than C-Pro, LNP, and LNCore controllers that are a series circuit. You may have a bad fan, but the other two should light. Either way, I would contact Corsair support. It seems likely something is going to need to be replaced. murphy232
I know this was a almost a year ago but did this get resolved? I'm having the same issue.
