yomen123
Hello, I was planning to install my h150i rgb pro xt on my lga 1700 asus z690-a prime motherboard but everything was ruined ! The backplate just doesnt fit in the holes for lga 1700, I tried my hardest but nothing worked and all I could hear was my motherboards holes getting damaged. Im using the backplate that comes with the AIO and the lga 1700 retrofit kit from corsair. According to corsair, all I need is the retrofit kit but that is straight up wrong. https://www.corsair.com/ww/en/company/press-release/keeping-your-cpu-cooler-on-the-cutting-edge-corsair-all-in-one-coolers-are-ready-for-lga-1700-and-intel-alder-lake-processors SKU : CW-9060045-WW is there in the list... Is there anyone with that same problem ? What am I supposed to do now ?
Corsair Employees Corsair Blade Posted November 25, 2021 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 25, 2021 Hi Yomen123, You need to adjust the holes on the backplate so they're about half way -- they will line up though. Look at both sides of the bracket -- on one side, you should be able to 'slide' / adjust the hole positions.

I do not have LGA 1200 standoffs, it stops after LGA 1150. If you compare these 2 manuals, one has lga 1200 and the other does not... I have the one without lga 1200.. https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/WW_H100i_H115i_H150i_RGB_PRO_XT_QSG_AMZ_AA.pdf and https://www.corsair.com/corsairmedia/sys_master/productcontent/WW_H100i_H115i_H150i_RGB_PRO_XT_QSG_Web_AE.pdf I realize that what I need is for LGA 1700, but still, If I have an older version, maybe its not compatible with LGA 1700? Should my backplate still fit ??? theres something wrong somewhere Edited November 25, 2021 by yomen123

MouseGerald
Guys, I just built my new PC with LGA1700 and I used the screws for LGA115x which fit perfectly. I am wondering why do we have to purchase a separate LGA1700 screws?

I am wondering why do we have to purchase a separate LGA1700 screws? As I've understood the Retrofit pack comes with screws that are shorter than the ones included in "iCUE H150i RGB PRO XT"-package. I guess in some setups there will be a gap and the cooler wont have enough contact with the processor. What motherboard are you using? I ordered the iCUE H100i RGB PRO XT-kit and found out now when I was watching a youtube-video about assembling the parts that you need different screws so I ordered the kit. I'm using the ASROCK z790 PRO RS motherboard.
